CitySide Ventures Present - An informational in-person session outlining the different tracks for angel (early-stage) investing. It is a closed “by invitation only” event. The event is designed for investors that are an “Accredited Investors” ONLY, based on SEC Reg-D and might include:

Family Offices
Investors that are interested in investing in early-stage, pre-seed, and seed-stage companies.
For Investors that are looking to join a progressive group to share high-quality deal flow, resources and significantly reduce the deal-making cost.
Investors that have a desire to syndicate their investment to leverage their capital and reduce their risk profile.

CitySide offers two tracks of angel investing through: Birmingham Angels & the Great Lakes Angels Fund - that is being supported by a high quality of deal flow and a full scale backroom service that are second to none.

The event will include an overview of Angel Investing nationally and in the state of Michigan and how important they are in fueling the startup ecosystem in the state.

Statement: A Kauffman Foundation study showed 90% of net new US jobs are created by companies less than five years old. These companies match the profile of startups funded by angel investors. Angel investing is the fastest growing investment Asset Class in the past 10 years. According to ACA - Angels Capital Association, total angel investments nationwide in 2020 were estimated at $24.9 billion and growing year after year. A growing economy includes a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. Angel investors are a vital component of entrepreneurial economies.

Angels are progressive investors with above-average risk tolerance, that are looking to diversify their portfolio with a higher return investment Asset Class.
