By Open Space Authority

Overview

Join Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority and Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance on a fun walk to explore Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve

As Winter sets in, come explore with us on an easy to moderate hike to discover the birds of Coyote Valley Preserve where residents, migrants, and vagrants hang out away from the hustle and bustle of the Santa Clara Valley.

Coyote Valley Preserve sits on the edge of Coyote Valley affording a rich habitat for seasonal species such as Rock Wren, Ferruginous Hawk, Yellow-billed Magpie, Say’s Phoebe, Loggerhead Shrike, and Northern Harrier in open grassland and blue oak savannah.

Non-experts are welcome, though we do encourage bringing your own binoculars for the best experience.

Rainy weather will cancel this program.
