About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

Let's take a fun field trip and experience the forests of Mt. Pinos, the highest point in Ventura County!

We will meet at the entrance to Mt. Pinos Campground at 8am, on Cuddy Valley Road. There are restrooms available here, and we will do a short hike around the campground before heading up to the Nordic Base parking lot. From there, we will hike up to the top of Mt. Pinos, around 3.7 miles out and back on a well-maintained and easy to follow trail. But that hike will be heavily punctuated, because we will stop to hear and see all of the amazing birds along the way!

The event may take up to 4 hours, based on the amount of birds we see, but feel free to leave earlier.

Make sure to bring snacks and water, and of course, curiosity!
