Join The Nature Conservancy for a leisurely walk through Piney Grove Nature Preserve to learn about the ecology of Virginia’s finest pine savanna habitat. This area is home to Virginia’s rarest bird, the red-cockaded woodpecker. Explore the area with TNC Staff, Dan Hannon and Andi Clinton, and learn about this beautiful ecosystem.

-Free and open to the public
-No bathroom facilities. No pets.
-Bring: snacks/lunch, water, bugspray, and sunscreen. We recommend wearing long sleeves, pants, and boots.
