It’s time to climb!


Join Pigtown Climbs for a FREE Climb Day at Carderock on Sunday, October 19th. Together, we’ll spend a beautiful fall day climbing along the Great Falls River, reconnecting with community and the outdoors.

Details:

  • Date: Sunday, October 19th, 9am-3pm (leaving Baltimore at 8am, back by 5pm)
  • Location: Carderock Recreation Area (Potomac, MD)
  • Who: 20 spots reserved for Baltimoreans of color, with priority for neighbors from Southwest Baltimore
  • Experience: All levels welcome! Whether it’s your first climb or your hundredth, certified guides and instructors will be on hand to support you—at no cost.
  • Other info: We have all the gear you need and will arrange carpooling. Lunch and snacks will be provided.


Pigtown Climbs is a community-driven organization in Southwest Baltimore that uses climbing to promote equity, wellness, and connection to the outdoors. We uplift self-identified black and brown folks, minimize barriers to getting outdoors, and prioritize accessibility.
