BIPOC Centering Class: Nourishment is Revolutionary

BIPOC Centering Class: Nourishment is Revolutionary

By Mama Bird

Overview

A nonprofit program for Black, Indigenous, and families of color to prepare for birth, postpartum, and beyond.

Feeding our babies is an act of love, resistance, and cultural survival. In this closing circle, families learn the basics of breast/chestfeeding, bottle-feeding, and pumping — with a focus on what works best for you. We uplift the stories of Black, Latina, and Indigenous parents and highlight the role of partners and family in making nourishment possible. Together we affirm: feeding our babies feeds our future.
