While everyone is welcome to attend both days we will have a different focus each day.

  • Demonstration of Tigercat Carbonizer by a local commercial operator
  • Burn pre-constructed conservation burn
  • Discuss uses in managing slash in commercial forestry and uses of biochar products in contaminant remediation

November 20th (small/private foresters)

  • Group will create biochar using a small flame capped kiln
  • Construct conservation burn pile
  • Discussion centered around uses of biochar in restoration, carbon sequestration and forest health
