Positive Space Tulsa

$40 each / Ages 16+ / Limited to 20 participants / Light Refreshments Included (BYOB)

Send off Sarah Bowen's exhibition, Ten Years of Tiny Things, with a shout by playing Bingo with Bowen! You're invited to play games of classic bingo for prize packages containing all kinds of Tiny Things from over the years. Prizes include pieces you could collaboratively finish, molds you could experiment with yourself, prototypes of the past, and finished items never before available, along with a local treat or two! Everyone will leave with something and, while we play, you'll be invited to create your own miniatures!

About the Exhibition: Ten Years of Tiny Things celebrates a decade of polymer clay miniatures, events, and community crafted by Sarah Bowen of Tiny Things by Bowen and recognizes the supporters who have made it possible. Through personal collections on display and re-creations of early works, see hundreds of sculptures and how they have evolved with the artist over the years. There will be opportunities to participate in a community collaboration within the exhibit, submit your own work to the student gallery, and join Sarah for a class or event throughout the month of June.

About the Artist: Sarah Bowen is a visual artist and arts educator in Tulsa, OK. Her polymer clay business, Tiny Things by Bowen, has brought functional clay art into peoples' homes since 2014, and paired with teaching in a variety of formats, embodies her belief that everyone is creative and miniatures are a great place to play. In addition to bringing art making opportunities to her community, she works with the public school systems and Gilcrease Museum to bring clay and 2D art into classrooms around Tulsa, teaching hundreds of students each year.

Ten Years of Tiny Things, by Sarah Bowen of Tiny Things by Bowen, opens 5-8pm, Saturday, June 7, 2025, and will continue through Saturday, June 28. Gallery hours during the exhibit: Thurs, 6-8pm; Fri, 5-8pm; Sat, 12pm-5pm and by appointment.
