About this event

Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages (parents/guardians welcome too!) are invited to join St. Louis BWorks staff and volunteers for an evening of biking fun and hot-air balloon festivities in Forest Park. We'll meet with our bikes, helmets and charged-up front and back lights (required!) at Turtle Playground (6128 Tamm Avenue) at 6:45 p.m. Friday, September 19. The group ride, led by BWorks team members, will wind through Forest Park to the balloon glow event grounds, where we will lock up bikes together and then stick together in assigned small groups and family gruops (each with at least one adult) while enjoying the hot-air balloon display. At 9 p.m., all of the BWorks groups will meet back at the group of locked bikes to ride through the park together, back to our starting point (Turtle Playground) for departures by approximately 9:30 p.m.

Register at this link to participate, and be prepared to sign a short release for each rider upon arrival to the meeting location.

Big thanks to Great Rivers Greenway for partnering with BWorks to help us keep these fun adventures free to our bike-education graduates and family members! We’re excited to have their support for the 10 awesome alumni events we have planned for BWorks youth in 2025.

P.S. Does your child's bicycle need some TLC leading up to the alumni ride? Stop by BWorks (2414 Menard Street in Soulard) in the days leading up to the ride (between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday). If you stop by at least a week prior to the alumni ride with the bike, our staff and volunteers will be happy to take a look at the bike and help ensure it's trail ready!

Questions about the event? Finding that this event is full? We can probably make space for you! Email evie@bworks.org and we'll go from there.
