Bhasha Unbound: Through Each Other’s Eyes is a 2.5-hour art and storytelling workshop designed for children and their parents, carers, or guardians to reflect on each other’s lives through imagination and creative play.

During the session, each family pair will take part in guided conversations, explore memories, and create a unique artwork, drawing and labeling portraits of each other based on how they imagine the other at a different stage of life. For example, children will draw their parent as they imagine them at the child’s age, while parents draw their child as they imagine them in the future.

This activity opens up gentle, meaningful conversations about identity, culture, dreams, and family life across generations.

Every artwork created will be featured in a public exhibition at the end of the Bhasha Unbound project, creating a collective visual time capsule of family connection in Tower Hamlets.
