Sujata Chakraborty is an internationally recognized Bharatnatyam dancer and cultural entrepreneur currently based in Denver, Colorado. Her Guru Smt. Usha Muralidharan was a student of late Smt. Kamala Johnpillai, one of the prominent and foremost students of Smt. Rukminidevi Arundale in Kalakshetra. Sujata is currently training with Kalaimamani Smt Ramya Ramnarayan, a visiting faculty in the Dance Department at Mason Gross School of Arts at Rutgers University. Ms. Ramnarayan is a gallery artist with Pentacle, roster artist with Young Audiences of NJ and Eastern PA, and empaneled artist with Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

Sujata performs extensively in India and abroad, believing in dance as spiritual and social identity. She wants to spread awareness towards global peace and unity with the power of her rich Bharatnatyam legacy.
