Beyond Wicked- A talkback with the cast and crew of the Broadway Production

Time to return Beyond Wicked! Please join us on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Cranford Theater for our celebration of the release of Wicked- Part 2- “For Good.”
Once again, you will get to hear first-hand from Cast and Crew from Broadway’s Wicked about life inside the world of Wicked and beyond
Downtown Cranford will be hosting a talkback, Q and A session with former Wicked Fiyero, Kevin Kern. Also joining are Betsy Werbel (Les Miserables, Wicked) Mark Overton (Head Carpenter Wicked), and Cranford’s own, Christy Ney, (Assistant Stage Manager.)
In addition to your event admission, you will also receive a movie pass for a future movie at the Cranford Theater, as well as a small popcorn and a small drink to enjoy on December 11th.
Betsy Werbel is a Broadway performer who has been working in New York City for over 25 years as a professional artist and event planner. Betsy was seen by millions on Broadway and around North America in both Wicked and Les Misérables, making her a true Broadway veteran. Betsy is very active philanthropically, having produced fundraising events and raised funds for multiple foundations including The Brian Werbel Memorial Fund, Medwish International, and many others. She is currently the Education Events Manager for Broadway Plus.
Kevin Kern is an accomplished Broadway performer and concert artist, having appeared in six Broadway shows, a show in London’s West End, and performed in concerts all over the world. His Broadway credits include Fiyero in Wicked, standby J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland, and standby Robert in The Bridges of Madison County, as well as roles in The Wedding Singer, First Date, and Les Misérables. He is currently part of the Pollock Properties Group as a Sales Associate. He lives in Maplewood with his wife Megan, and their four kids, Gus, Sunny Jo, Magnolia, and Clover.
Mark Overton was the Production Head Carpenter on Wicked Broadway from Day 1 (2003), through his retirement in 2022. During his over 40 year career, he has toured the world as a Head Carpenter, Prop Head and Technical Director for various companies including The Bolshoi Ballet, Kirov Ballet, Lake George Opera Festival, City Opera National Company, and the Metropolitan Opera. Favorite Broadway and touring credits include the original touring company of “Tommy,” the Broadway companies of “The King and I”, “Titanic,” and “700 Sundays” with Billy Crystal. In his retirement, Mark loves to travel, volunteer with local environmental organizations and bake and cook for friends and family!
