Beyond the Page

This interactive 6-hour workshop guides interpreters through expressive storytelling techniques using children’s literature. Participants will explore vocal and visual distinction, character development, and affective accuracy while engaging in individual and group activities. Designed for both Deaf and hearing interpreters, the workshop emphasizes play, creativity, and skill-building, encouraging participants to step outside their comfort zones while strengthening professional interpreting practice.
