Beyond the Page: Reading with Networks
Overview
Join us for the launch of our new book club, Beyond the Page, where we dive into heartfelt stories that spark reflection and connection.
We’re kicking things off with What Would Nola Do? by Gerry Anderson Arango—a moving memoir exploring motherhood, resilience, and the quiet strength found in everyday love.
Come ready for honest conversation, community, and thoughtful discussion as we go beyond the page together.
Note: This is Part 2 of a two-part book club series. Even if you weren’t able to attend the first session, you are warmly welcome to join us! We encourage participants to come with the book completed if possible, but—like we always say—ALL are welcome regardless.
💜 Book Club Meeting Date: October 16th, 2025
📖 Location: Virtual via ZOOM

Dr. Geralyn Anderson Arango is a Professor of Education, Emerita, at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA, but always a mom first, now a grandmother as well. Gerry writes, teaches and consults on topics pertaining to intellectual disability across all phases of life. She is the host of “Our Parallel Paths; A Future for My Loved One with a Disability, and for Me,” a podcast produced by Networks for Training and Development.
Gerry lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband Michael, and hopes that their imminent retirement won’t make them weirder than their cats.
