Beyond the Headlines: A Conversation on Islamophobia and Intersectionality
Overview
Beyond the Headlines: A Conversation on Islamophobia and Intersectionality
As part of Islamophobia Awareness Month, join Makani Cambridge CIC and The Three Hijabis for a grounded, heart-centred conversation on Islamophobia and its intersectional realities.
Together, we will explore what it means to live at the crossroads of faith, race, gender, and migration, and how the overlapping systems of power shape everyday experiences of belonging and exclusion.
This is not a debate, but an invitation to reflect, to listen deeply, and to imagine new possibilities for solidarity and justice.
The conversation will be facilitated by Reem Assil and Dr. Azzam Kassir (Makani Cambridge CIC) in dialogue with Amna Abdullatif (The Three Hijabis).
Date: Monday 17th November
Time: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Location: Online on Zoom (we will share the Zoom link with you once you book your ticket)
Entry: Free (registration required)
