Experience an evening of powerful photography and heartfelt storytelling as CPAC celebrates the work of 24 Colorado military veterans.

Experience an evening of powerful photography and heartfelt storytelling as CPAC celebrates the work of 24 Colorado military veterans. These artists spent six months developing personal photo projects that reflect resilience, hope, healing, and the search for meaning beyond military service.

Join us for a free opening reception on Saturday, January 10, 5 – 8 pm, and meet the veterans behind the images. Their photographs—ranging from intimate portraits to vivid explorations of nature, family history, and identity—offer a look into lives shaped by service and transformed through creativity.

Come support local veterans, connect with community, and be moved by artwork that speaks with honesty, courage, and resilience. All are welcome!On view at CPAC through February 14, 2026. (Gallery hours: Tuesday – Friday: 11 am – 5 pm; Saturday: Noon – 4 pm)

The Veterans Workshop Series is an annual arts education program presented by the Colorado Photographic Arts Center in partnership with the Veterans Arts Council at VFW Post 1. This exhibition showcases photography by eight veterans who completed the 2025 Series, along with 16 alumni who continue to pursue photography professionally.

Pearsall Jr. MD, Chuck Rasco, Dick Reznik, Yvens Alex Saintil, Cherie Sutton, Ken Tschappat, and Kevin Weber.

The 2025 Series is made possible with generous support from the Phillip and Edith Leonian Foundation, WC & EJ Thornton Foundation, Prevent & Prevail, Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, SCFD, Colorado Creative Industries, and individual donors, with additional support from Digital Silver Imaging, Hahnemühle Paper, Metropolitan Frame Company, and Sony.
