Beyond the Counter- Adult Craft Workshop - Making Putz Christmas Houses

November 9 – Holiday Crafts – Scherenschnitte and Putz Houses – Here’s a fun

workshop to welcome in the holidays. Return to 19 th century Germany and try your hand

at the art of Scherenchnitte (paper cutting) to make a beautiful one- of- a- kind holiday

ornament. We’ll also delve into the history of Putz Houses – small paper mache houses

that were decorated to form quaint villages to decorate the holiday home. Students will

make two “putz” houses and one paper cut ornament during the class. Supplies

provided. 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the General Store. $25.00 per person. Pre-registration required. Adults Only Please. Class located in the General Store.
