BEYOND THE BASICS: Untangling FMLA, ADA, PWFA & FLSA for Advanced HR Pros
Overview
Today’s HR leaders navigate an increasingly complex landscape of overlapping federal
requirements. Led by attorneys with in-depth, client-focused knowledge, this three-part
educational series looks at federal laws that often give even experienced leaders trouble.
The series addresses topics that every seasoned HR professional must understand to lead
confidently and protect their organization. To offer useful lessons, the sessions focus on:
- practical application,
- legal risk management, and
- real-world problem-solving.
Together, the training package offers a detailed legal view for the HR team. Sessions will dig into the impact of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
In a workshop format, the attorney-trainers will present advanced topics and lead
participants to explore:
- Nuanced compliance issues.
- Conflicting obligations.
- Evolving regulations.
- Litigation trends.
Small-group Zoom breakout sessions will walk participants through potential scenarios and case studies.
The series line up:
- January 27, noon-1:30: FMLA
- February 10, noon-1:30: ADA/PWFA
- February 27, noon-1:30: FLSA
REgistration covers all three sessions; individual session registration is not an option. Register by January 5, 2026 at the early bird rate of $499 per person for the complete three-session package. After January 5, the cost is $599 per person.
Applications for CLE and SHRM continuing education credits are pending.
