Beyond the Basics: Level 2 Sourdough Workshop – Encinitas, CA

An intermediate sourdough experience for bakers ready to level up.

Join me for a hands-on workshop designed for those who already have a sourdough foundation and are ready to deepen their skills! During our 3 hours together, we'll explore the next layer of sourdough technique—digging into mixing, inclusions, fermentation control, and working with different flours, including freshly milled grains.

We'll bake a loaf together in class to enjoy and give your starter a health check (bring yours along!). We will begin an inclusion loaf recipe (cheddar, Cheddar/jalapeno, garlic, rosemary, or lemon blueberry) and discuss important concepts like feeding ratios, temperature’s role in sourdough success, and baker’s percentages. This is the perfect next step if you’ve taken my beginner class or already have some experience baking sourdough at home.

Please Plan to Bring:

  • your sourdough starter
  • large mixing bowl
  • towel or bowl cover
  • Danish hook/whisk (optional)
  • apron (optional)

Included:

  • Freshly baked bread & drinks (enjoyed during the class)
  • Your own inclusion dough to take home, shape, and bake
  • 500g freshly milled flour sample
  • Level 2 Resources (Digital Guide)
  • Access to the Sourdough Mamas Facebook Support Group
  • I'm so excited to help you advance in your sourdough journey!

Let’s keep growing your skills—and your loaves! 🍞✨
