Beyond the art: an ekphrastic poetry workshop at Pyramid Gallery.

Join poet Nicky Kippax to write 'beyond the art' for this short introduction to ekphrastic poetry, suitable for beginners. There will be chance to take in the SEA, SWELL, SCRIBE exhibition, absorbing the work of artists Jo Walton and Ruth King, before looking at an example of ekphrastic poetry and writing your own piece, with guidance. Everyone will be given the opportunity to share work at the end. All you need to bring is a pen, paper and a sense of adventure.
