With loss and damage being a major agenda in the UNFCCC negotiations and beyond, the Allied for Climate Transformation by 2025 (ACT2025) consortium aims to bring together negotiators and L&D experts, academics, and other relevant actors from a broad range of countries building on their demonstrated interest in finding solutions and to getting the needed finance flowing. This event will facilitate a frank exchange of views on the current needs, challenges to identify concrete areas for enhanced cooperation.

On Thursday November 10, join the Allied for Climate Transformation (ACT2025) consortium live from Sharm el-Sheikh at COP27. During this event, ICCCAD, Manila Observatory, and ACT2025 partners will co-convene an event to discuss the scale, speed and urgency for financing loss and damage, more specifically the institutional framework of a loss & damage finance facility. The speakers will discuss this pressing topic and the contours of an outcome at COP27 and beyond.

The event will be hosted in person in Room Amon (445) and online via the UNFCCC YouTube channel.
