About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Ages 21+

As buildings electrify and the grid decarbonizes, demand response is no longer enough. This panel explores the next frontier: load shifting. We’ll dive into what makes load shifting different from traditional DR, how to align appliance behavior with grid needs using real-time signals, and what’s required—from manufacturers, policymakers, and utilities—to scale this approach. Hear from experts on early pilot results, evolving codes and standards, dynamic pricing strategies, and programs like Watter Saver. Join us to learn how smarter load management can accelerate building electrification while supporting a cleaner, more resilient grid.
