As President & CEO of Elation Communications, she specializes in DEI rebranding—leveraging storytelling, strategic partnerships, and crisis intervention to help organizations navigate reputational risks and authentically align their public image with their equity commitments.
Jerrica is known for guiding organizations through high-stakes communication challenges, reshaping their narrative to reflect inclusive values and long-term impact. Her work as Chief Strategy & Communications Officer for a national organization—securing a $15 million federal grant and rescuing the company’s largest revenue stream—exemplifies her ability to lead through crisis with clarity, strategy, and results.
With a background in both business and communications, Jerrica holds an MBA from Frostburg State University, an MS in Communications Management, and a certificate in Strategic PR from Towson University. She brings academic depth to her executive leadership, having served as an adjunct professor and mentor, and remains active in professional networks including PRSA, ASAE, and AFP.
Jerrica's passion for representation and equity began early in her career through her groundbreaking participation in the Emma Bowen Foundation, opening doors for minority professionals in media. Today, she continues to shape the future of inclusive leadership through thought leadership, authorship, and public speaking.
