We are facilitating new spaces to bring the Beyond Bath initiative into everyday places: museums, cafés, community venues, schools, and other local spots across Bath.
Through small, informal conversations, we want to create a space for you to share your thoughts and concerns about migration and refugees in the UK. Together, we'll explore myths and facts, and connect them with the global realities behind them.
These sessions are an opportunity to:
☕ Listen and exchange: a welcoming space to ask questions, share views, and learn from one another.
💬 Challenge misconceptions: through real stories and information, we'll help shift perceptions about refugees and asylum seekers.
🤝 Invite action: encourage people to take small but meaningful steps to support more welcoming communities in Bath and beyond.
In a time when misinformation and fear often dominate the conversation, we believe that dialogue, grounded in real stories and human connection, is one of the most powerful tools for change. By bringing these conversations into familiar spaces, we hope to reach new audiences, build empathy, and strengthen our local community's understanding and solidarity.
A huge thanks to our friends at Go Slow & Enjoy Coffee for opening their doors for this conversation.
Are you a café, cultural venue, school, or community space that would like to host a future session? Or do you know a place that might?
