Beyond Basics (formerly, Intermediate Taiko)

This class will delve deeper into the fundamentals of taiko performance. Students will strengthen skills, build on repertoire learned in previous classes, and concentrate on form, timing, and ensemble playing. Classes will offer techniques to improve soloing and improvisation, and encourage learning through peer teaching and review.

Schedule: Wednesday evenings from February 7 through March 21, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Oregon Buddhist Temple, 3720 SE 34th Avenue; Portland, OR 97202.
