Who will be attending?

Betty Ford Center alumni and family members who live in the surrounding area and throughout the country, along with friends, staff and supporters will be in attendance.

Can I bring my friend, family, partner, spouse or sponsor? Can children attend?

Spouses, friends, adult family members and sponsors are welcomed for the weekend events. The Children's program will be having a open house on Nov 9th for children and caregivers. Will I be able to see or visit my unit?

Because we will have patients in treatment, we will not be touring any of the halls.

Will I be able to see my counselor/s, and will staff be attending?

Staff are encouraged to attend, but we cannot confirm which staff or counselors will be there, unless they are part of the weekend agenda.

We have an exciting line-up for the weekend, including Donna Branch, Ermanno DiFebo-Orsini, William Cope Moyers, Tiffany and Lee Turner, Tessa Voss and Bryan Wilmoth.

Can I buy a copy of William Cope Moyer's new book at the event?

William's new book will be released on September 3, 2024, and will available for sale over the weekend at the campus bookstore. He will also be signing his book on Sunday, Nov10 at the Farewell Brunch. Please note bookstore hours: Fri 11A.M.-7 P.M., Sat 8:30 A.M. - 7 PM. - Sun 9 A.M. - 2 P.M.

Is there a registration deadline, and is there limited space?

Because there are limited spaces available for many of the sessions, we highly encourage early registration. Attendees should be registered by November 1, 2024.

Payment can be made at the time of online registration with a credit card. There is no cash or check payment available for this event.

Space is limited, we encourage everyone to register early.  If sessions are not sold out, day of registration will be available.

Yes, you will receive an email confirmation of your registration, but all attendees will need to check in at each session that includes a fee.

You may cancel before November 1, 2024, and receive a full refund, minus any service fees. All cancellations received after November 1, 2024, will not be eligible for refunds.

Our hotel partner for the weekend is the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa. Located at 41000 Bob Hope Dr., Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. We encourage booking as soon as possible as there are a limited number of rooms being held until September 23, or until sold out. See agenda for room block link.

Is there a dress code?

We encourage everyone to dress for comfort while on campus, and welcome attire that is casual or smart casual for the Friday and Sunday events, and festive party attire for the Saturday Banquet at the Omni.

The weekend events will be held rain or shine. There will be no refunds for weather.

Can I bring my service animal?

Yes, they are permitted in our facilities. We afford individuals who require assistance of a services animal with equal opportunity to access the organization. Per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ACT), a "service animal" is a dog that has been trained for an individual with a disability.

Can I bring my emotional support/therapy pet or pet?

Per the ADA, dogs or other animals whose sole function is to provide comfort, emotional support or companionship do not qualify as service animals. Emotional support, therapy animals and pets are not permitted on Hazelden Betty Ford's facilities, leased spaces or campus grounds.

There will be an official photographer at this event, and by attending this event, you hereby grant the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation the right to use and publish photographs and videos in which you may be included, and any other purpose and in any manner.

Are there any Covid vaccine or masking requirements at this event?

Our event will follow CDC recommendations and guidelines. At this time there are no vaccine or mask requirements. However, we encourage all attendees to respect others' personal space, to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable and to regularly hand sanitize.

What is the smoking policy on the Betty Ford campus?

Smoking on the Betty Ford Center campus is prohibited within 20 feet of main entrances, exits and operable windows. There are various designated smoking shelters on the campus for residents. We ask smokers to be respectful and smoke outside, and to please comply with the 20-foot rule.
