Every month we read a nonfiction book on a different social issue and discuss what we've learned and how we can use it to implement positive grassroots change in our community. October's book is Ally Is a Verb by Rose LeMay. Exploring what true allyship with Indigenous Canadians looks like, the book challenges readers to put allyship into practice in the real world.
After a guided discussion of the book, we'll talk about how we can take what we've learned and use it to implement real, lasting change in our communities.
