Event Description:
This workshop is for PBIS teams and classroom teachers who support students participating in Check-In Check-Out (CICO). Our shared goal: to elevate the quality of conversations between adults and students so that each check-in becomes a meaningful moment of connection, encouragement, and growth.
Rather than focusing on compliance or adult-driven expectations, we’ll learn how to make CICO a tool that helps students set and achieve goals that matter to them. Through language, tone, and intention, we’ll explore how short daily interactions can help students feel seen, valued, and supported—while also reinforcing the habits and values of your school community.
What You’ll Gain:
- Strategies to make CICO conversations student-centered and strengths-based
- Conversation starters and scripts that support goal-setting and reflection
- Approaches to align daily check-ins with relational trust and school values
- Space to reflect, share, and collaborate with other educators
