As political differences are polarizing our community, Great Rivers United Way and six other committed organizations are sponsoring an opportunity to learn how to speak civilly with each other. We may never change another person's mind, but we can understand where they are coming from and we can remain friends. This is critical to communities the size of La Crosse and Onalaska.

Depolarizing Within asks us all to take a look at our own habits and how they can either add fuel to the fire or dampen the flames. The workshop teaches us how to be critical without demonizing, dismissing or stereotyping.
