Join us in person for the Best Buddies Columbia IDD Inclusive Language Teach-In! This educational and interactive event is all about learning how to use respectful, inclusive language when talking about individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our speaker, Mar Lelogeais, a Best Buddies New York Ambassador, singer, songwriter, and advocate. Born and raised in NYC, Mar was driven by her life experience with disability to teach others how to speak respectfully and inclusively about disability. Come hang out, ask questions, and help build a more welcoming community together. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn and grow your understanding of diverse and inclusive language! The event will take place in the Jed D. Satow Conference Room on the 5th Floor of Lerner Hall on Columbia's Morningside campus, and it is open to CUID cardholders.
