Bender Robotics Critical Design Review (CDR)
Overview
The Bender Robotics Critical Design Review (CDR) marks a pivotal milestone in the team’s journey toward NASA’s Lunabotics Challenge. During this event, student engineers will showcase their finalized system designs, present testing results, and demonstrate how months of collaboration and iteration have brought the robot to life.
Attendees will get an in-depth look at how each subteam — Navigation, Regolith Handling, Drivetrain, and Chassis — has advanced their designs from concept to near-complete implementation. The team will share lessons learned, key design trade-offs, and their final integration plans as they prepare for full-scale testing.
This event will also feature a live demo of last year’s competition robot and earlier prototypes, offering a unique opportunity to see how far the team has come in both design and capability.
Join us to:
- Experience the team’s progress and see this year’s robot take shape
- Learn about each subsystem’s design journey and engineering decisions
- Watch a live robot demonstration in action
- Connect with Boise State’s student engineers, mentors, and community supporters
Whether you’re a faculty reviewer, sponsor, student, or enthusiast, your insights and support play a crucial role in shaping the success of this mission.
