About this event
This session will provide participants with an introductory understanding of autism and how it can affect children and young people in settings. It will also explore key areas of neurodiversity including ADHD/ ADD/Sensory Impairment and Communication and how these interact with behaviour and communication. Giving practical strategies settings can use to provide effective support and help every child to thrive.
Whether you work in Wraparound, HAF or Early Years, this session will leave you informed and inspired.

Trainer Biography
Zoe Anstey is an experienced Trainer and Development Specialist with over 15 years of expertise in designing and delivering innovative training programs. With a passion for supporting a wide range of professionals to enable them to include children and young people with SEND into services. Training groups of up to 40 on courses in topics including Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Disability Awareness, Protective Behaviours, and Working with Challenging Behaviour.
Zoe has a career spanning over 30-years working within the children’s disability sector, and has worked with organisations ranging from small private businesses, charities, schools to local authorities, helping them develop their skills in inclusion and supporting individuals with SEND. As a project development and operations professional, Zoe also has a specialism in creating, developing extended day services for children with and without disabilities.
Zoe possesses a deep understanding of adult learning and employs a variety of learning methods, including in-person workshops, virtual training, and blended learning strategies. Zoe is adept at identifying skill gaps, customizing training solutions, and ensuring measurable results through continuous evaluation and feedback.
