Beginning Zentangle - Eight-Week Course
Overview
The new year is the perfect time to develop a creative practice. No art experience necessary for this eight-week Beginning Zentangle class. Join Nancy Garcia, Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), on Zoom to learn this simple and beautiful art form. It is a great way to let go of stress and find some creative peace in your day. The Zentangle® Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. "Zentangle" is a registered trademark of Zentangle, Inc.
The class is open to anyone who is interested.
The recommended supplies are:
- fine point black felt tip marker, I recommend the Pigma Micron 01, but whatever you have on hand is fine.
- medium point black marker, such as the Pigma Micron 05 or Pigma Micron PN or a similar pen.
- a pencil -- eraser is not needed
- a tortillion or blending stump. A cotton swab will work as well.
- 3.5" x 3.5" white paper squares (tiles). Cardstock, mixed media paper or watercolor paper will work. It's important to cut them out before class. If you have regular Zentangle tiles, those work great, too!
Once you register, I will email the Zoom link and a template for the tiles.
Class dates are every Monday for eight weeks:
January 5, 12, 19, 26
February 2, 9, 16, 23
Time is from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Central Time
The classes are not recorded.
Registration is for the entire series, not individual classes.
