Beginning tango dance classes with Elly Fernandez in Berkeley (three dates)

Elly Fernandez teaches tango in Berkeley, Wednesdays, Oct. 15th, 22nd, and 29th! Elly is a full-time, touring tango teacher who brings to the class her love of community-building and creativity in the dance. Join us for the beginner class, intermediate class, or both! These classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers,” and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.

No partner necessary. The teacher encourages students to switch partners throughout the class.

6:45-7:00 pm: check-in

7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango

8:00-8:30 pm practica

The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions!

$65.87 general admission (three classes)

$49.87 student with ID (three classes)

We also host an intermediate tango class at 8:30 on the same dates. In order to join the intermediate class, we recommend that you have been dancing tango regularly for three months (12 dance classes). Beginners are welcome to watch the intermediate class.
