Beginning Beekeeping
Join us for a fun and informative event on the basics of beekeeping! Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just curious about these fascinating creatures, this in-person event is perfect for beginners. The event will be held on three consecutive Saturdays (17, 24 and 31 January , 2026 from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM) at the Eastern Shore Public Library in Parksley, Virginia. Participants will learn all the basic information about beekeeping and how to get started in this three-session training. All participants will be assigned a mentor that will help them get started. Our knowledgeable beekeeping experts will guide you through the essentials, including setting up a hive, bee behavior, and honey production. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn about the importance of bees and how you can contribute to their well-being. Learn how to don your beekeeper suit and dive into the world of buzzing wonders!
Registration fee - $50 which includes:
Course registration/materials/5-month membership to Beekeepers Guild of Eastern Shore of Virginia (Our Fiscal Year Ends 30 June 2026)
Text book “Beekeeping Basics” (1 per family registered)
