Beginner's Yoga Workshop: Flow & Foundation
Overview
Beginner’s Yoga: Foundations & Flow is a small-group, instructional class created for those new to yoga or returning after time away. This experience is intentionally paced to feel supportive, educational, and grounding, without pressure to move quickly or “get it right.”
We’ll begin by exploring what yoga actually is, including a gentle introduction to the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the philosophical framework behind the practice. You’ll learn how yoga extends beyond movement and how breath, awareness, and presence are just as important as the poses themselves.
The class will include Ujjayi Pranayama, a calming breathing technique that helps regulate the nervous system and create a steady rhythm between breath and movement. From there, we’ll break down common yoga postures and transitions, guiding students step-by-step through Sun Salutation A and B at an accessible pace.
You’ll then move through a gentle Hatha–Vinyasa style flow, applying what you’ve learned in a steady, intentional sequence. The class will close with savasana, offering time for rest, reflection, and integration.
This class is not about flexibility or performance, it’s about learning, awareness, and building a strong foundation in yoga.
