Do I need to bring anything?

You do not need to bring anything, we will have game pieces and a National Mahjong Card for you to learn how to play.

What am I learning in this class?

This class is an introduction to the American version of mahjong. Susan Joy Evans will teach you the basics of this exciting game.

Will there be a continuing class offered?

Yes on Thursday we will have a "102" or "play" class, where you can build on the skills you learned from the 101 class.

We provide the game pieces. if you have a National Mahjongg League playing card, please bring with you. Otherwise we will have one for you to borrow during class and for sale.

About the Instructor:Susan teaches Mah Jongg for Beginners at the Chautauqua Institution’s Special Studies department. In the last three years, she has taught over 300 students. She lives in the village of Sewickley with her too cute and almost famous yinzer English Toy Spaniels .
