Welcome to the 9th edition of our one-day intensive with Carlos Neto in NYC.

A high-energy 5-hour street jazz intensive designed to strengthen foundation while sharpening choreography pickup, execution, and performance quality, capped with an interactive Q&A

This 9th Intensive Edition introduces a brand-new format designed to better support your growth.

While the core values remain the same, you can expect more time on fundamentals, smoother application in choreography, a dedicated Q&A slot, and a proper break to recharge.

Ideal for beginners who want to feel more comfortable in group classes, as well as seasoned dancers who want to revisit foundations in a supportive environment that goes beyond just learning steps.

COURSE BREAKDOWN

First Half

10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

• Introduction and class etiquette
• Warm-up and brief workout
• Basic grooves and movement fundamentals
• Reversing movement foundations
• Short combinations (drills and grooves)
• An introduction to textures, speed changes, and points of reference

12:00 PM – 1 PM

Q&A/ Time to Re-Energize!

Second Half

1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

With our new format, we’ll explore several combinations set to different music to strengthen pick-up skills and boost movement retention.

• Strengthening memorization and pick-up skills

• Enhancing performance quality and audience engagement

VENUE:

The intensive will be held in the Midtown Manhattan area, potentially at Ripley Grier Studios, where we host it annually. Depending on enrollment, the location may vary, but it will remain within Midtown. The exact studio will be announced by email a few days prior to the event.
