Intro to Laser Cutting — Aeon Laser Cutter + Lightburn Software

Ever wondered how makers create custom signs, engraved gifts, acrylic designs, leather goods, and intricate wood cutouts? It all starts with the laser cutter — and this beginner-friendly class will teach you exactly how to use it.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to safely and confidently operate the Aeon Laser Cutter, prepare and format vector files in Lightburn, and choose the right materials for cutting and engraving. No prior experience needed!

You’ll leave with a completed laser-cut project using a 12”×12” plywood sheet included in your class fee.

Class Details

• Level: Beginner
• Duration: 2 hours
• Group Size: Up to 4 students
• Certification: Grants access to the laser cutter with membership or maker day pass

Important Notes

• Class must be booked by 9:00 AM the day before
• Wear shop-appropriate clothing: long pants, closed-toe shoes, and hair tied back
• Arrive 10–15 minutes early and sign our release of liability
