Duration: 2 1/2 hours per session
Frequency: Weekly for 6 weeks
Location: MakerSpace Charlotte near Plaza Midwood
Materials: All materials and tools provided (bring a towel and trim nails short, pull long hair back).

Class Overview:

This class provides a supportive environment tailored to all skill levels. Beginners will learn wheel throwing basics like centering, pulling walls, and shaping simple forms: cups, bowls, plates, vases, spoon rests, ring dishes. Intermediate students will refine their techniques, tackle more complex shapes, and work on personal projects.

What You'll Learn:

Beginners: Pottery wheel introduction, clay preparation, basic throwing, trimming, glazing, and firing.
Intermediate and Beyond: More advanced throwing techniques, more complex forms, decorative methods, glazing, and personal projects.

Who Should Attend:
Perfect for all skill levels, whether you’re starting a new hobby or deepening your pottery skills.

AGES:

Class is open to ages 16 and up.

Please wear appropriate clothing for getting clay on, trim your fingernails, tie back long hair and remove any hand accessories. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that participants bring a towel to drape across their lap.

Pottery pieces not picked after 30 days will be discarded.

Class may be canceled due to low enrollment in which case a full refund will be issued.
