Beekeeping Workshop @ Steptoe Farm

Come join us at Steptoe Farm for a hands-on beekeeping workshop! This workshop is geared towards folks who are serious about beekeeping and want to gain insights into the world of bees and technical skills on managing bees and producing honey in Southern Maryland. Each participant will suit up and do a full hive inspection with our instructor!

Our Instructor, Pete Scott, has over 10 years of experience with bees and currently manages our hives at Steptoe!

The workshop will include:

Understanding the Life Cycle of Bees

Queen Identification & the Role of Each Bee in the Colony

Proper Hive Inspection and the Use of Hive Tools

Setting Up Your Own Hive at Home
