About this event

Hobbies • Other

This nationally award-winning workshop series has been taken by over 500 participants and is designed for beginner and intermediate beekeepers. The Beginner Beekeeping class is the first of a series of 4 workshops that will help you manage the needs of the hive throughout the year. In this class, the focus will be on honey bee biology, equipment, and hive inspection.

After the smoker demonstration, your clothes may have absorbed the smell, so plan accordingly and dress in protective clothing (closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, or bring your beekeeping suit if you own one).

The registration fee of $30.00 (plus $3.85 Eventbrite fee) will include materials and lunch. Participants must register through Eventbrite by October 29th. A late fee of $10.00 (plus $4.52 Eventbrite fee) will be applied after October 29th, or if paying at the door. This class is limited to 30 participants. There will be no refund for the registration fee.
