Patrick Carey is a 5 yr beekeeper, studying to be a master beekeeper through the University of Florida. This is a 5 year program that covers all things about bees and prepares him to teach the public. He owns a small honey farm in Frankford that is up to 13 colonies so far. His plan is to have a few hundred hives in the next 5 yrs. Patrick will be sharing his models of bee life spans as well as honey extraction tools. He will also have an observation hive to see bees up close and personally. The presentation will cover honey bees, history of keeping bees and keeping bees in modern times.
