About this event

Health • Personal health

Join us in-person or online for a discussion with Sherrie Gould, MSN, NP-C. If you live in the Portland metro area, we strongly encourage you to attend in person!

Did you know that:

1) Around 50% of people living with Parkinson's Disease may experience hallucinations and/or delusions during the course of their disease

2) About 90% of patients don't proactively tell their physician about it

3)Many are familiar with the motor symptoms that people can experience with Parkinson's disease but what may be unexpected are non-motor symptoms like hallucinations and delusion

4) There are treatments available if this is occurring

In her presentation, Ms. Gould will introduce the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's including hallucinations and delusions. She will describe the symptoms most often associated with Parkinson's related hallucinations and delusions and explore how you can talk with your healthcare providers about these symptoms and establishing an effective treatment plan.

Sherrie will also be joined by an Acadia patient ambassador to share their experience with managing the symptoms of Parkinson’s psychosis.

A light lunch will be provided to those who attend in-person.

Sherrie E. Gould, MSN, NP-C is an expert Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) programmer. Ms. Gould is a Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Neurology, Movement Disorders with Scripps Clinic Medical Group in La Jolla, CA.

We greatly appreciate the generous support of our Annual Sponsor:
