Overview

Join us for an educational walking program about beavers along the Woonasquatucket River on the newly completed portion of the Greenway.

Join us for an exploratory walks along the Greenway to learn about this charismatic creature sighted recently on this part of the Woonasquatucket River: the North American Beaver!

We'll have some interactive materials, provided by 15 Minute Field Trips, and depart on 30-minute beaver tours at 10 AM and at 11AM. The tours will be led by Molly Hastings of RI Beaver Management and WRWC staff. You will also get an opportunity to enjoy the newly completed bike path on Kinsley Avenue, and to hear a bit about its new public boat launch, stormwater infrastructure, and plantings. This portion of the Woonasquatucket River Greenway is a flat, paved bikepath with minimal street crossings. We will walk a gentle pace with frequent stops, walking around half to one mile over the 30 minute tour.

This event is family friendly and open to all ages.
