About this event

You are booking a series of 5 daily 1 hour workshops.

This series of 5 one-hour workshops delivered over a week is designed to equip children and young people with essential skills to enhance their whole educational experience!

This five-day workshop is designed to develop a deeper understanding and retention of multiplication, fostering confidence in mathematical abilities and laying a strong foundation for future learning.

We use #multisensory methods to engage learners, catering to various learning styles. Activities include visual aids, such as charts and interactive games, auditory methods like rhymes, and kinaesthetic experiences, such as using physical objects to form equations.

The workshops take place in the Lewisham / Greenwich area and run from Monday 28th July to Friday 1st August at 1pm for an hour each day. They are delivered by Jane, a teacher with more than 20 years experience.

Frequently asked questions

Should I drop my child off at the venue, or should I stay with them?

You are welcome to drop your child off at the Gentle Garden venue for the hour of the workshop. We also invite you to stay if you'd like to, or if your child would prefer you to be there. Some parents choose to wait inside the tutor's house (her sofa is very comfy!). Whatever works for your family.

How many children will be there?

We limit our Summer workshops to 6 students.

Organized by

I am Jane, a local woman with more than 20 years experience as a qualified teacher (QTS) working with children and young people in South London. I have a passion for education, equality and environment. By environment I mean how our learning environments affect how we are able to thrive in our lives.

I currently teach students from KS1-KS4. I can support transition to secondary school with summer sessions and weekly lessons after school to support study skills.

I specialise in teaching students with additional needs, and I base my approach on child centred practices. I offer well being and emotional regulation sessions for any students who would benefit from this.

I have personal and professional experience of teaching and learning, health issues and equality issues. These are at the forefront of my practice. I work under the name Gentle Learning Support.
