Join us for a fun and informative session on how a healthy gut can support overall wellness including immune health, cognitive health, and digestive health! Whether you struggle with brain fog or tummy troubles, there are many things you can do to support your health that won’t break the bank. Local experts will illuminate the ways in which we can take control of our individual gut health and heal our bodies through delicious foods and natural supplements. Jay Vilar is the Founder and Nutritional Therapist Practitioner of Nourish, LLC, a nutritional therapy company. The mission is to educate the world how to heal and optimize the body with food and lifestyle. The areas of health optimization, proper nutrition, and human potential have always been a passion for Jay. Founding Nourish was the combination of those 3 passions.He studied nutrition with the Nutritional Therapy Association, where he was certified as a Nutritional Therapist Practitioner. He spends his time teaching people how to use food to heal their body and speaks to businesses on how to optimize focus & productivity using nutritional science.

Maggie Battista - Cookbook Auther, Co-host of the Made Fresh Podcast, Co-founder of The Fresh Collective

Maggie Battista is a cookbook author, writer, marketing strategist, and event designer. She’s also co-founder of The Fresh Collective, a networking group for female food entrepreneurs, and co-host of the Made Fresh podcast, a show that brings fresh perspectives to a range of topics like food & cooking; entrepreneurship; wellness; the complexities of midlife; and more. In 2007, she founded Eat Boutique, an award-winning online food shop and story-driven recipe site. After creating pop-up Eat Boutique food markets for 25,000 guests, she’s working to open her first retail food concept space and also advising operators on mixed-use retail and restaurant developments. Maggie’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Eater, Boston Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Financial Times, and Refinery29 and has written for Food52, Time Out New York, Southern Living Magazine, The National Post, and The Kitchn. Moderator - Danielle Perretty - Founder + CEO of Beacon Blend

Danielle Perretty is on a mission to bring more health, community, and joy into people’s lives. She is the Founder of the organic beverage company, Beacon Blend. An advocate for plant-based living, and also a yoga and meditation teacher.

Prior to diving into the wellness industry, Danielle spent 15 years in marketing for product development, and design consulting. Her marketing career spanned digital, physical, and service products in the consumer, healthcare, and commercial industries.

In 2016, Danielle decided to forge a new path that incorporated her passions and commitment to wellness. While starting to teach yoga and meditation, she launched Beacon Blend, and began delivering fresh blends to offices and homes in the Boston area.

Danielle took another leap in 2018 by selling the line of superfood blends into wholesale with local shops and cafes.
