Be A Maker: Wallpaper Pattern Printmaking Workshop with Amy Nack

Be A Maker: Wallpaper Pattern Printmaking Workshop with Amy Nack

By Boise City Dept. of Arts & History

Overview

Join us on November 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a printmaking workshop inspired by wallpaper patterns found at the James Castle House.

Be A Maker is a series of hands-on, family-friendly workshops inspired by Boise artist James Castle and our current exhibition, Where Art Begins.

Through guided activities led by Boise artist Amy Nack, families can expect a welcoming, inclusive space to experiment, play, and make art together.

Printmaking is the perfect method for creating repetitive patterns. Inspired by the wallpaper in the James Castle House, we’ll design a pattern by creating our own stamps to create large sheets of patterned paper. Take home your own personal handprinted paper to use as gift wrap, other crafts, and more.

In this workshop, we’ll make our own stamps to create patterned artworks. This workshop is best suited for children ages 4 and up.

All materials will be provided. This workshop is $15 per participant, with registration required.

Note: A ticket is required for all attendees, even if they are not participating. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
