Overview

by Guy Cimbalo

Synopsis:When their infant son is hospitalized after a sudden seizure, his parents face a harrowing journey through a hospital system that becomes a nightmarish maze of confusion and doubt. Battling their own fears, the couple grapples with medical professionals and each other, questioning how love and compassion can coexist with clinical detachment. With humor and tenderness, Seizure explores the limits of humanity under extraordinary pressure.

Playwright:

Guy Cimbalo extricated himself from the black hole of suburban Long Island, coasted through four (and a half) years at Harvard University, before moving to Los Angeles. There, he sold a pilot script, Idolescence, to MTV and his feature script, Plays Well with Others was optioned by Anonymous Content. Unfortunately both of those projects were shelved, and he returned to the east coast. Since moving to Brooklyn, Cimbalo's freelance writing has appeared in publications such as New York, The Village Voice, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, Playboy, and Complex. Currently, he is a partner in the content agency Lighthouse Creative, working with clients such as Amazon, IBM, Ceros, and many others, while collaborating with his wife, Darya Zhuk, on several screenplays. They live in Brooklyn.
