BOSTON COMEDY ARTS FESTIVAL
The 2016 Boston Comedy Arts Festival covers 3 stages and features Improv, Sketch, and StandUp Comedy.

Wednesday, September 7 @ 7:00pm, Studio Theater

Featured Acts:

Wild Memory Nation
"Wild Memory Nation is Boston's most popular roving storytelling show. We've performed at the Women in Comedy Festival, at Sketchhaus, and at BCAF last year. Featuring scripted comedy monologues by some of the city's - and country's! - funniest people, Wild Memory Nation is true stories, real funny."

David Thomas
"David Thomas ain't your typical giant, down-to-earth silly comic. His stand-up comedy is goofy, weird, genuine, offbeat and a bunch of other things. He runs a weekly standup show in Jamaica Plain at The Riot Theater called Stand Up Break In, has opened for Pound House Live with Brent Weinbach and DJ Douggpound, and will reach his 2-year anniversary of performing stand-up in June!"

Katie Que
"Katie Que (pronounced like the Spanish word for "what") has been doing stand up in Boston for more than a year. She's performed at The Riot Theater, Once Somerville, and is a two-time winner of Improv Boston's Battle Royale. In addition to stand up, she does improv with some of the best people in the world. But, most importantly, her cat is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen."

Laura Merli
"Laura Merli is a standup comedian, improviser, and freelance comedy writer. She's currently a resident cast member at Improv Boston, performing with the Top Shelf Harold night team, “Duchess;” a contributor at Reductress, and has performed her brand of awkwardly honest standup at the Comedy Studio, Maggie’s Lounge, Hostselling International, the Arlington Center for the Arts, and the Riot Theatre. "

Laura Severse
Laura Severse began doing stand-up comedy in 2001 and then took a detour into marriage, motherhood and middle management. Laura is back on the scene and performing all over Boston. A Comedy Battle Royale Winner, she performs frequently at The Comedy Studio, ImprovBoston, Boston Comedy Chicks, Stand Up++, Johnny D’s and The Riot Theater.

Scott McLaughlin
"Overly educated teacher looking to share his experiences with the world."

Sean Clarke
"Sean Clarke is a comedian living in the Boston. He performs stand up regularly at the legendary Boston club The Comedy Studio, the misleadingly named comedy club ImprovBoston located in Cambridge, and Johnny D’s Uptown Music and runs the improvised stand up show Tight Five and is a producer for ImprovBoston's weekly comedy semi-competition Battle Royale.. In addition to being a comedian, he is a playwright and has had plays performed at the Boston Actors’ Theater, the now demolished Turtlelane Playhouse (not because of his play but due to tax evasion in the front office), and on Cape Cod."

Kenya Claytor
"Kēnya Claytor is a stand-up comedian, improviser and published poet. Whether hosting various club nights, emceeing half-time shows (her favorite being the Harlem Globetrotters), performing at local open mics, writing sketch comedies or performing with her Improv troupe – “The Lawrence Family”, Kēnya loves entertaining a crowd. Delivering a fresh take on topics ranging from raising her two children, working customer service jobs, and dating, Kēnya’s signature style of comedy writing brings side-cramping laughter to all audiences."
